Told my mom I definitely want to marry a Bengali girl and I wouldn’t mind if it happened in a year-and-half…

I’m sorry, but @ all the Americans from the USA get all cranky when us people from the rest of the worls encourage or literally plead them to vote and make the right decision… We fully understand that “it’s not our continent”, thank you very much, but your decisions affect all of us. If Italy votes for Berlusconi to become PM once again, it’ll be bad, but it will be bad for us. The average person from Los Angeles won’t give a shit if our PM regularly bangs underage prostitutes and swims in money while the country gets poorer and poorer and 1/3 of families in the South keep living in poverty while the unemployment affects half of the youth. However, if Italy suddenly decides that they want a sequel to Fascism and elects the Far-right party, not only it will be bad for us, but it will be bad for all the migrants that still arrive here through the Mediterranean. There will be no ‘close the borders’, there will be, ‘let them drown’ and the decision of my country will affect people from Syria, from Afghanistan, from Africa, and so on. Political choices never affect just a group of people, they start a domino effect, and the bigger is the country, the more are the tiles falling down. Bush, anyone? How many thousand people did Bush being elected affect? How many countries? Once the war(s) started, do you think Italy sent troopes because we liked it or him, or because we have been USA’s trailing puppy since the Marshall plan and, wherever the USA goes, we’re ought to follow?

Believe me, we know well that it’s not our country and continent, and if anyone else in the world could have the privilege of not giving a shit about the politics of your country, we gladly wouldn’t, we’d be like, “You want a new version of Fascism? You go! We tried that out and it sucked. Good luck, pals.” But we can’t. It’s not because we are entitled, or because we think we know better than you, it’s because one thing we know is that the single vote of a 21-year-old university student from New York may affect us. The more consensus Donald Trump gains, the more the rest of the world joins and prays that you guys being your ass to vote for Bernie Sanders or whoever is the best candidate aside from that dumb reicarnation of Adolf Hitler that quotes Mussolini and could be the best pal of our right-wing candidates. I’ve come to know and meet a lot of Americans here, I follow quite a bunch, and I know that they’re neither dumb or naive, but intelligent people that realise the political dynamics of this world, but then there is this other bunch of people who actually gets pissed off that were even interested in your politics and tell us to stay in our lane and that makes me want to bang my head against the nearest wall…  Do you even realise the power of your country? Politics have never been about staying in your lane. Your country is the USA. Your foreign politics affect the rest of the world, and while the idea of a Trump presidency surely and legimitately scares the shit out of you, it scares us too in a different way. Your vote is important! Vote for Bernie Sanders! Campaign for him! Tell your relatives! Challenge Trump supporters! If Bernie Sanders can’t win, vote for the next best candidate and don’t let the Fascist win! This is not an order, this is a pleading. Please go to vote.

But who prays for Satan? Who in eighteen centuries, has had the common humanity to pray for the one sinner that needed it most?
